Bmw 330ci what type of oil

If you have too much oil in your engine, you can damage your catalytic converters because the engine will send oil out of your exhaust. To this day I burn 1-quart of oil for every 1, miles like clockwork. If you are consuming more than this, you should have your engine inspected by a mechanic or conduct an oil analysis on your next oil change to diagnose why. At the top center of your dashboard instrument cluster is a warning light. Depending on the status of your oil it can be Red, Yellow, or entirely off.

When you turn your key to the on-position you should see a Red light. Once you start your car it should go away. The good news is that you still have oil in your engine. As is convenient you should add about 1-quart of oil. There are many reasons for this. Regardless, you should tend to this immediately as you do not want to run any car with low oil pressure.

The BMW E46 has been a great car for us over the years. Ive heard a full synthetic. What brand? Id like to be able to get it at Autozone. Mobil 1, hands down. Specifically, Mobil 1 0w, which is labeled "Euro Formula. But viscosity ratings are for a range of actual viscosities, and Mobil 1 0w is one of the few readily-available, off-the-shelf oils that meet all the requirements for BMW LL specification. Not Mobil 1 5w, not Mobil 1 0w, but only Mobil 1 0w Or, BMW 5w from the dealership.

On a related note, the BMW recommended service interval is approximately miles, but based on several UOAs Used Oil Analyses that I've seen for this engine, is probably more appropriate if you want to absolutely minimize engine wear. It's not ideal, but it'll work. If you already put it in, it'll be fine for one cycle. Next time, change to 0w If you haven't put it in, it's up to you - if it's not too much trouble to swap it out for the right stuff, then do that. Look in the boot for a wire leading nowhere else other than to the exhaust backbox, black wire with a box in the line. Unplug and enjoy a nicer noise from idle for free!

I don't think it could reduce any torque, its just a flap to limit noise at lower rpm. Twin Turbo 5, posts months. Where is this wire in the boot? I'm assuming under the carpet, exhaust side? My i Sport Auto saloon sounds nice enough, so the valve may already be open, but if it's not, I'll happily have a more throaty exhaust. E38Ross 28, posts months.

FD3Si posts months. It's not a wire, it's a vacuum line.
